Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Night shift on Medical MT 4th Floor. Reports to Support Services and works full-time nights, assisting clinical staff and caring for patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Ideal candidates will have CNA or PCT certification, BLS/CPR, and be able to communicate effectively in English and Spanish. Experience in hospital settings is preferred and cross-training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• CNA or PCT program graduate required
• Current CNA or Patient Care Tech certification required
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Willingness to be cross trained to other areas
• Sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues
• Good written and verbal communication skills required
• Ability to read, write and speak English required
• Ability to communicate clearly with nursing, admin, and physicians
• Hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Promotes facility mission, vision and values to patients and staff
• Takes vital signs and reports abnormal values to licensed staff
• Assists patients with routines and activities as directed by RNs
• Demonstrates compassionate, patient-centered care and confidentiality
• Supports excellent customer service and teamwork across departments
