Job summary

Great River Health in West Burlington, IA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide basic resident care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, documentation, and responding to resident needs during scheduled night shifts with every-other weekend and holiday rotation.

Responsibilities include bathing, dressing, lifting and positioning, meal assistance, vital signs, and safety while following the care plan.

Qualifications

• EFRC (Emergency First Responder Choking) required within 90 days upon hire and renewed every 2 years.
• Certified Nursing Assistant Iowa Direct Care Worker Registry (IDPH) upon hire required.
• Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter within 180 Days Required.
• Knowledge of customer and personal services standards.
• Strong communication with patients and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care: Bathing and dressing residents as care planned and as needed.
• Exercise/restorative/rehabilitative care: assist with lifting, turning, positioning, and transporting residents.
• Elimination: assist residents to and from the bathroom and monitor outputs.
• Food Service Functions: serve meals and assist with dining and recording intake.
• Vital Signs and Weights: weigh and monitor residents and report changes.
• Housekeeping: keep rooms clean and safe, maintain hygiene stations.
• Activity Functions: participate in planned resident activities and care plan meetings.
