Job summary

Great River Health Systems in West Burlington, Iowa, is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) for evening shifts. This part-time position involves providing basic resident care under supervision of a licensed nurse and supporting daily activities in a resident-centered approach.

The CNA will assist with personal care, mobility, meals, and activity planning while documenting observations and changes for the care team. Experience preferred; CNA license required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the medical field preferred.
• Knowledge of basic resident care and daily living activities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Ability to lift and move residents with assistance.
• Awareness of patient rights and HIPAA requirements.
• CNA certification and Iowa Direct Care Worker Registry compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care per care plan and assist with ADLs.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, hygiene and grooming.
• Prepare residents for appointments and visits.
• Monitor skin changes and report to nurse.
• Record bowel and urinary outputs each shift.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, lifting and positioning.
• Assist with meals and monitor intake; provide assistance as needed.
• Support residents with activities and restorative programs.
• Maintain clean resident rooms and common areas.
