Job summary

Parkridge East Hospital is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. The role supports daily hospital medication operations, including dispensing, drug information, and IV preparation in a high-demand setting.

The incumbent will work nights and weekends, collaborate with physicians and nursing staff, and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory standards while focusing on patient safety and optimal pharmacotherapy.

Qualifications

• BS or MS of Pharmacy Degree.
• PharmD in Pharmacy required.
• TN Registered Pharmacist required.
• Hospital experience required.
• Clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong knowledge of hospital policies and government regulations and dispense accordingly.
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient reactions, errors and complaints.
• Determine and consult on possible drug interactions.
• Participate in Drug Utilization Review.
• Monitor, record and communicate as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• Utilize knowledge of age specific needs of patient in performance of duties and responsibilities.
