Job summary

Endeavor Health in Chicago is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the Progressive Care Unit. You will facilitate unit functioning, coordinate care, delegate tasks, and serve as a clinical resource.

Reports to the Unit Manager and collaborates with admitting, Bed Coordinator, and supervisors to ensure timely admissions and transfers. The role requires a BSN (preferred), state RN license in Illinois, 2 years as Staff Nurse, AHA CPR, and strong communication and teaching skills.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• Two years experience as a Staff Nurse
• CPR certification (American Heart Association)
• Current Illinois RN license or eligibility
• Strong communication and teaching skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, delegate and communicate to support unit functioning.
• Facilitate admissions/transfers with Bed Coordinator and Supervisor.
• Perform rounds and monitor patient conditions.
• Assist with bed control and discharge planning.
• Participate in Nursing DIG Committee for process improvements.
• Ensure adequate staffing and unit assignments based on census and acuity.
