Job summary

Endeavor Health is hiring a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for 4E Med/Surg/Tele in Chicago. The role is full-time, night shifts, with weekend and holiday rotation.

The coordinator leads clinical and operational functions, ensures staffing adequacy, and collaborates with multiple departments to optimize patient placement and throughput. The position requires a BSN (preferred), RN license in Illinois, and CPR certification, with at least 2 years as a staff nurse.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing, with a Bachelor of Nursing preferred.
• Two (2) years experience as a Staff Nurse.
• Clinical nursing skills, effective communication, teaching and motivational skills.
• Certification within 2 years of promotion; current Illinois RN license; CPR certification.
• AHA CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, delegate, communicate and think critically on clinical and operational issues.
• Serve as a resource for nursing staff and medical staff.
• Collaborate with admitting, Bed Coordinator, and Supervisor to plan timely admissions/transfers.
• Make rounds on patients and monitor condition/changes.
• Orient agency personnel and provide feedback to the Unit Manager.
• Participate in Nursing DIG Committee to improve patient throughput.
• Ensure adequate coverage and assign staff based on census and acuity.
