Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Monmouth Medical Center seeks a Clinical Care Technician for the Medical & Surgical X unit on the night shift. The role supports Registered Nurses by providing hands-on care, monitoring patients, and ensuring safety and comfort at the bedside.

You will perform vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, and help implement the patient care plan. A High School Diploma and BLS certification are required; CNA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and current BLS certification are required.
• Previous nursing assistant experience or CNA training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take and monitor vital signs such as BP, pulse, and temperature.
• Assist with bedside care and activities of daily living.
• Perform phlebotomy and monitor EKGs as assigned.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR with confidentiality.
• Provide patient comfort and assist with mobility and hygiene.
• Communicate care plans with nurses, doctors and families.
• Support infection control and safety practices in daily tasks.
• Apply Basic Life Support skills in emergencies when needed.
