Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in Jersey City is seeking a Clinical Care Technician (CCT) for the night shift on the Medical Surgical Unit IV. This per diem hourly role supports RNs with vital signs, mobility and daily patient care, while ensuring a safe, compassionate environment.

Strong teamwork and patient empathy are essential for high-quality care and smooth shift transitions. Minimum HS diploma with current AHA BLS; CNA experience or certificate preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CNA preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• Experience in nursing assistant roles or clinical programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vital signs monitoring, basic nursing tasks and daily patient care.
• Support RNs with mobility, bathing, and personal care activities.
• Document patient information in the EHR and maintain confidentiality.
• Follow infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
• Communicate with patients, families and healthcare team to coordinate care.
