Job summary

Winchester Hospital is a 223-bed regional hospital in the northwest suburban Boston area, seeking a Clinical Associate to support patient care under a nurse's supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, reposition patients, take vital signs, collect specimens, and help transport supplies to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications include a high school diploma (strongly preferred) and BLS certification; eligible CNA, nursing student with a clinical rotation, or CATP

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Must have or be CNA, or nursing student with one medical-surgical rotation, or three months of clinical care experience, or completion of CATP.
• Basic reading/writing in English required and good communication with patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living for patients.
• Reposition and ambulate patients as needed.
• Make occupied and unoccupied beds.
• Assist in transporting patients, beds, supplies and equipment.
• Collect, label and transport specimens.
• Retrieve and sign out blood products.
• Accurately perform point of care testing.
• Obtain vital signs and weights.
• Maintain intake and output measurements.
• Remove Foley catheters and saline locks.
