Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco seeks a Temporary Client Support Coordinator for graveyard shift in San Francisco. This role handles client intakes, provides resources, and monitors center safety under supervision. The position is full-time and temporary through January 1, 2027.

Salary starts at $25.50 per hour with paid sick leave accrual per SF ordinances and a focus on respectful client care and crisis response. Background check required; Bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• AA degree preferred.
• Good communication skills in verbal, reading and writing.
• Enthusiastic about serving others.
• Experience with chronically homeless individuals, substance users, and/or mentally ill.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work under pressure and in crisis situations.
• Proficient in data entry and learning new software including Word.
• Demonstrated Vincentian values (respect, dignity, integrity, collaboration, justice, stewardship).
• Maintain professional boundaries with guests, volunteers and staff.
• Commitment to the mission of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco.

Responsibilities

• Handle client intakes and services.
• Provide resource and referral information for clients.
• Assist clients with housing criteria navigation.
• Ensure respectful treatment of all clients.
• Monitor safety in the Navigation Center and control activities as needed.
• Deliver client food and assist with shelter maintenance.
• Carry protective gloves and use as appropriate.
• Follow Navigation Center operations manual rules and regulations.
• Enter client data into database with provided software.
• Attend monthly all-staff meetings.
• Perform other appropriate duties as assigned.
