Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco is hiring a Maintenance Worker for the graveyard shift (12:00 Midnight to 8:30am). The role is full-time, non-exempt, and unionized, with a start wage of $23.50 per hour.

Responsibilities include facility cleaning, routine maintenance tasks, and adherence to safety programs. The organization offers a comprehensive benefits package including Kaiser HMO, dental/vision/life insurance, a 403b with employer match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 1 year cleaning experience.
• Oral fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Understand OSHA requirements for maintenance.
• Able to lift up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean the interior of the facility including sweeping, dusting, mopping, trash pickup, restroom cleaning and sanitizing.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor, including occasional deep cleaning.
• Clean the outside perimeter daily, including sweeping, watering plants and cleaning the garbage bin area and surrounding areas.
• Participate in regular staff meetings and training.
• Follow Injury and Illness Prevention Program and wear PPE as required.
• Perform other appropriate duties as assigned.
