Job summary

California Sierra Express is hiring a part-time Class A driver based in the LAX/Compton area to operate a 53-foot swing-door trailer for air freight pickups, deliveries, and freight recovery. Shift runs 5:00 PM–11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with pay ranging from $28.00 to $30.00 per hour depending on experience.

Candidates must have at least two years of commercial driving experience, a valid CDL, and a clean DMV record.

Qualifications

• CDL required and valid.
• At least 23 years old.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience.
• Clean DMV record in past five years.
• DOT Medical Examination Card required.
• Successful completion of drug screen and TSA background check.
• Hazmat certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned route in a timely manner.
• Practice defensive driving and follow safety policies.
• Comply with all driving, transporting and handling freight laws and regulations.
• Adhere to federal drug and alcohol regulations.
• Maintain accurate records (VIRs, manifests, incidents).
• Load and unload freight and report dimensions/weight.
