Job summary

Kennametal is seeking a Manufacturing Chemical Process Operator III for a 12-hour night shift to run furnaces, monitor critical process parameters and document results. The role requires adherence to safety procedures and the ability to respond to emergencies within the Coating Department.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, maintaining vacuum systems, performing preventative maintenance, and communicating issues with supervisors.

Qualifications

• Understand and follow written procedures and instructions.
• Operate with safety and quality in mind in a high-temperature environment.
• Capable of troubleshooting furnace problems and performing maintenance.
• Able to access SAP MII, QMS and Kennametal intranet for work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload furnaces; monitor temperatures and pressures.
• Operate furnaces and document operations; perform preventative maintenance.
• Ensure vacuum system integrity and check for leaks.
• Set up and separate product; enter quality data by furnace and heat results.
• Act as Emergency Responder within the Coating Department.
