Job summary

Kennametal in Orwell, OH is seeking a Manufacturing Chemical Process Operator III for a 12-hour day shift. The role involves loading/unloading furnaces, monitoring computerized controls, and ensuring proper gas/chemical levels. You will document results and act as an Emergency Responder within the Coating Department.

Candidates should perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot furnace issues, and maintain safety standards while achieving daily production goals.

Qualifications

• Follows safety and operating procedures.
• Capable of performing basic math and measurements.
• Proficient in reading and following procedures.
• Able to respond to emergencies and safety incidents.
• Able to communicate clearly with supervisors and team.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload furnaces and monitor automated controls.
• Maintain furnace operations including temperature, pressure and flow parameters.
• Perform and document furnace operation and periodic maintenance.
• Check vacuum systems for leaks and ensure gas/chemical levels match procedures.
• Set up and separate product, enter quality data, and respond to alarms.
