Job summary
Castleton Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate Night Shift Charge Nurse to lead the night team in Indianapolis, Indiana. You will supervise nursing care delivery, ensure compliance with care plans, and administer medications with accuracy during the 3pm-11pm shift.
Ideal candidates hold an Indiana LPN or RN license, CPR/BLS, and 2+ years in a Skilled Nursing Facility, with strong leadership and independent work skills to support residents overnight.
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license in Indiana (Required).
- 2+ years of nursing experience preferred, especially in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing care delivery during the night shift.
- Ensure clinical compliance with care plans, standards, and policies.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely.
- Receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders (as permitted by law).
- Provide direct care when needed and support the overnight team.
- Communicate clearly with families, physicians, and day-shift staff.
- Help manage staffing, workflow, and overnight documentation.
