Job summary

Qualifications

• Current or compact RN license in Iowa.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• 12 months RN experience required; 24 months preferred.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certified or obtained within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Develops staffing plan detailing classifications and qualifications.
• Oversees daily operations and staff management during the shift.
• Resolves clinical issues and liaises between nurses, physicians, and admin.
• Provides orientation/education to staff and students.
• Leads and delivers safe, effective patient care.
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to plan care.
• Maintains documentation requirements for patient records.
• Ensures compliance with policies, Joint Commission standards, and regulations.
