Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Registered Charge Nurse for the Acute Care MedSurg unit on FT Nights (7pm-7am). The RN will direct daily activities, oversee patient care on the assigned shift, and support leadership with staff scheduling and unit operations.

The role requires active RN licensure in Georgia, BLS, and a commitment to evidence-based practice and WellStar standards. Experience in leadership and high-quality patient care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of nursing program and active RN license in Georgia.
• BSN preferred or higher nursing degree.
• Current BLS card on first day of employment.
• National certification in area of specialty preferred depending on service area.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily unit activities for the assigned shift to ensure safe patient care.
• Role includes potential modified patient care assignments and leadership tasks.
• Coordinate with Nurse Managers and leaders under the WellStar governance model.
• Lead staff schedules, manage unit flow, and participate in rounds and committees.
• Uphold Georgia Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code of Ethics in practice.
