Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Registered Charge Nurse for Acute Care on the Medical floor, FT Nights. You will direct the daily unit operations, lead an interdisciplinary team, and ensure safe, high-quality patient care in a shared governance environment.

The role requires RN licensure, strong communication, and leadership skills, with a focus on patient safety and staff development. You will participate in staffing, patient flow, and performance improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse.
• Knowledge of Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act.
• Experience in acute care nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rounds on every patient daily to evaluate quality and appropriateness of care.
• Oversees the Nursing Process (assess, diagnose, plan, implement, evaluate) with evidence-based practice.
• Coordinates care through interdisciplinary teamwork and effective handoffs.
• Promotes patient safety, quality of care, and fiscal responsibility within the unit.
• Mentors and precepts other nurses to build workforce capability.
