Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Registered Charge Nurse for the Acute Care MedSurg night shift (7pm–7am) at Kennestone Hospital in Georgia. The RN will direct daily unit operations, ensure safe patient care, and serve as a clinical leader with collaboration across the care team.

Ideal candidates hold an active GA RN license, BLS, and have 1 year of nursing experience (2 years preferred). BSN is preferred; national certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/ Diploma).
• BSN preferred but not required for eligibility.
• Current Georgia RN license and active status.
• BLS certification required on first day of employment.
• National certification in area of specialty preferred. (ACLS/PALS may be required)

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily unit activities to ensure safe care delivery for assigned shifts.
• Lead and mentor nursing staff; manage patient flow and staff schedules.
• Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional teams; participate in governance and quality initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Georgia Nursing Practice Act and ANA standards.
