Job summary

Viridian Wellness & Rehabilitation, Arlington, TX seeks an experienced Charge Nurse to oversee CNAs and ensure quality resident care in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include directing staff, managing admissions/discharges, and transcribing physician orders, while maintaining regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds an RN or LPN license, CPR certification, and has prior long-term care experience.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN license in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Long-term care experience preferred but not required.
• Nursing degree or LPN/LVN program completed.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily activities of CNAs and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Participate in the admission, discharge, and transfer of residents
• Observe and document changes in resident status
• Transcribe physician orders and carry out orders as written
• Administer medications and perform wound treatments as needed
• Provide leadership to nursing staff and promote teamwork and effective communication
• Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic care
• Ensure adequate stock of medications, supplies, and equipment
• Participate in end-of-life care as needed
• Promote a culture of compliance and maintain confidentiality of protected health information
