Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician for the Mount Carmel East location in Columbus, OH. The role supports pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including sterile and non-sterile compounds, with automated systems on patient care units.

You will participate in inventory management, billing processes, and unit-dose packaging, under supervision, with a night-shift schedule that rotates weekly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Ohio Pharmacy Board registered Certified Pharmacy Technician.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Strong communication and math abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in timely, accurate provision of medications to patients.
• Perform unit dose dispensing, sterile and non-sterile compounding, packaging, inventory control, and billing support.
• Use automated dispensing cabinets and robotic systems for dispensing and repackaging.
• Support pharmacy inventory management, stock rotation, expiration dating, and purchasing escalations.
• Assist with proper billing and patient charge processes.
