Job summary

Trinity Health's Mount Carmel East in Columbus, OH is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician for night shift. The role supports pharmacists in timely and accurate medication provision, including sterile and non-sterile compounding, packaging, and inventory control on a 10-hour night schedule.

The position offers opportunity to participate in an elevated sterile compounding compensation program after training, plus comprehensive benefits and daily Pay options.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduation or equivalent.
• Licensure/ Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification; active registration with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
• Experience: Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Skills: Effective communication and mathematical aptitude.
• Career aspiration to advance pharmacy knowledge through certification.

Responsibilities

• Establish a working identity with the Pharmacy Team and build the culture.
• Undergo in-depth role-specific training; assist in sterile and non-sterile compounding.
• Prepare sterile products (including chemotherapy) using aseptic technique.
• Prepare non-sterile products (including hazardous medications).
• Repackage bulk oral medications using Parata Systems and robots.
• Facilitate dispensing via Automated Dispensing Cabinets on patient care units.
• Assist in dispensing orders through the pharmacy inventory system.
• Help with inventory control, stock rotation, expiration dating, and ordering.
• Assist with billing of patients and other units.
