Job summary

MU Health Care is seeking a Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist to join the Capital Region Medical Center Lab in Jefferson City, MO for PRN night shifts. You will perform chem, hematology, and immunohematology tests, ensure quality control, calibrate instruments, and report results with accuracy in a collaborative setting.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and relevant certification (ASCP/AMT/AACC) with strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to maintaining laboratory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Certification as MT/MLS/IMLS or equivalent ASCP/AMT/AACC recognized by the selection criteria.
• Experience with quality control and instrument troubleshooting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests in chemistry, hematology, immunohematology and related areas.
• Maintain quality control and report results with accuracy.
• Calibrate, standardize and maintain equipment; troubleshoot instruments.
• Prepare reagents, standards, and controls per procedures.
• Interpret results in collaboration with Pathologist and clinical staff.
