Job summary

Providence in Seattle, WA is seeking a Central Services Technician for nights (11pm–7am) with occasional weekends. The role handles decontamination, assembly, sterilization of surgical instrumentation, and case cart preparation to support surgical teams.

You will operate an Instrument Tracking System, use handheld devices, manage supply par replenishment, and work with supervisors to prioritize tasks while maintaining quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Formal Central Services Technician training or equivalent.
• National Certified Registered Central Service Technician credential upon hire.
• National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician credential upon hire.
• At least 3 years of related experience in sterile processing and central services.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize surgical instrumentation.
• Assemble and deliver surgical and interventional case carts.
• Par and replenish materials; receive and distribute Central Services supplies.
• Operate the Instrument Tracking System and handheld ordering device.
• Collaborate with Materials Coordinator to par, order, and replenish soft supplies.
• Assemble the surgical case cart from a predefined preference list including instruments, peel packs, soft supplies, packs, and implants.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of instrument decontamination, assembly, and sterilization during shift.
• Identify and report supply, equipment, and procedure problems to supervisor/manager.
• Prioritize tasks with Lead CST, CS Coordinator, and Materials Coordinator to support clinical operations.
