Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Shuttle Driver to support its logistics operations. The role involves transporting empty trailers to warehouse locations, turning around and delivering full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

This position requires a CDL A with doubles endorsement and the ability to work a 3rd shift schedule, Sunday through Thursday. The driver will operate a tandem tractor/trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 6 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all state licensing/certification requirements where applicable.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.
• Able to move and stack product cases/freight up to 90 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre/post trip safety inspections per DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and required repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Inspect trailers for proper load and security.
• Ensure route paperwork is accurate and available.
• Drive and deliver trailers according to schedule.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures safely.
• Park and secure tractors/trailers in designated areas.
• Secure damaged goods and returns for return to base facility.
