Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations, on intrastate and interstate routes. You will operate tandem tractors and straight trucks, adhering to DOT regulations and company safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Reports safety issues and repairs needed.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety policies; reports hazards.
• Inspects trailers for proper loading and securing freight.
• Ensures route paperwork is ready at dispatch.
• Drives and delivers trailers according to schedule.
• Performs hook/unhook procedures safely.
• Parks and stores tractor trailers in designated areas.
• Ensures equipment and freight are secured.
• Collects damaged goods and returns paperwork.
• Unloads equipment and cleans trailers as required.
• Completes daily hours-of-service logs as required.
• Maintains cleanliness in tractor and loading dock areas.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
