Job summary

Performance Food Group delivers food and service to independent restaurants, healthcare facilities, schools and hotels. This on-site delivery driver role is based in Gilroy, CA, with overnight routes and 4–5 days per week schedule, starting at $350 per day.

You will load/unload, perform safety checks, follow DOT rules, obtain customer signatures, and handle payments as needed, contributing to reliable food distribution nationwide.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license required.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years and ability to pass background checks.
• DOT Health Card active or able to secure new card.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with customers, vendors and coworkers professionally and answers questions accurately.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety guidelines and policies.
• Drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route schedule.
• Performs pre/post trip safety checks and inspects tractor/trailer for safety.
• Verifies delivery with customer signatures and handles payments where required.
• Completes daily hours-of-service records and maintains paperwork.
