Job summary

Performance Food Group (New) in Gilroy, CA is seeking a CDL-A Driver to join our delivery team. Driving tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate/interstate routes, with overnight and drive-and-drop schedules, 10–12 hour days, and a four-day workweek, avoiding Sundays.

Starting pay is minimum $1,400+ per week plus comprehensive Day 1 benefits and growth opportunities in America's food distribution network. CDL-A, clean MVR, and DOT compliance required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
• 1 year commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A.
• Meet state licensing/certification requirements where applicable.
• Must be 21 years old with a clean MVR last 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test and maintain DOT Health Card.
• Able to lift and move freight using equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspections per DOT rules.
• Follow DOT regs and company safe driving guidelines; report hazards.
• Inspect trailer loading and verify invoices; manage required paperwork.
• Unload damaged goods and returns; complete end-of-shift procedures.
• Maintain daily logs and comply with hours-of-service rules.
• Uphold safety standards and assist teammates as needed.
