Job summary

Performance Food Group is hiring a CDL-A delivery driver for our Gilroy, CA operation at 5480 Monterey Road. You will operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, delivering and unloading food and related products to customers, with 10–12 hour shifts and a 4-day workweek.

No Sundays and dispatch between 12AM–3AM. Excellent benefits begin Day 1, including health coverage, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience Required.
• 1 year commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A license.
• Meet all state licensing/certification requirements (where applicable).
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to manually lift and move freight of varying size and weight.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines.
• Inspect trailer loads and verify invoices.
• Ensure security of tractor, trailer and freight at all times.
• Maintain daily logs and hours of service compliance.
• Uphold safety standards throughout the delivery process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with company policies and standards.
