Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Hickory, NC is seeking a CDL-A driver for night dispatch routes. You will operate a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver food products while following DOT regulations.

As the face of the company you will interact with customers professionally, complete safety inspections and required paperwork, and ensure on-time deliveries. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are included. Health benefits start Day 1.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Meet state licensing/certification requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one.
• Able to lift and move freight up to 90 lbs with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally.
• Performs safety checks and DOT inspections.
• Drives routes and delivers orders per schedule.
• Unloads products and assists with stocking at customer sites.
• Completes required paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Maintains vehicle security and vehicle/trailer integrity.
• Logs hours of service per DOT and company rules.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
