Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking CDL-A Delivery Drivers to handle night dispatch routes, delivering food and related products to customers with safety and professionalism. The role includes pre/post trip inspections, paperwork accuracy, and adherence to DOT regulations.

Average annual pay is around $91,000, with benefits from day one, and opportunities for growth within a nationwide food distribution system. Must be 21+ with a valid CDL-A and driving record in good standing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move product cases/freight of varying size and weight.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally, answering questions accurately and timely.
• Performs safety checks per DOT regulations and inspects tractor/trailer to meet company safety standards.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
• Delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule.
• Unloads products, transports items into designated storage areas.
• Completes required paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Maintains daily hours-of-service log per regulations.
