Job summary

SA Recycling is seeking a professional Truck Driver to move material between customer yards and our scrap metal facilities. The role requires operating an 18-wheeler, loading and unloading containers, and returning empties while following DOT regulations and company safety rules.

You will work independently, communicate with the office, and ensure safe yard operations. Candidates should have 3 years of CDL experience and be able to pass DOT physicals, drug testing, and background checks.

Qualifications

• Must have 3 years of CDL Driving experience with consistent job history.
• Must pass a medical DOT physical and drug test.
• Must pass a background check, clean MVR with no recent violations and consent to Clearing house.
• Preferred – high school diploma or GED and/or foreign education acceptable.
• Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively; understand directions and use basic math as the job demands.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload containers hauling scrap metal.
• Perform DOT daily operation and safety inspection.
• Communicate with office and customers to determine commodities to load.
• Work independently when driving scrap metal.
• Work with customers to satisfy their needs and assist with problems.
• Maintain safe working environment in the yard with others.
• Perform routine maintenance, refueling, lubrication, and cleaning.
