Job summary

SA Recycling is seeking a CDL driver to operate semi-trucks, haul scrap metal to customer yards, and return with empty containers. The role emphasizes safety, DOT compliance, and professional conduct with customers and staff.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, daily safety checks, coordinating with the office, and maintaining a clean yard. A valid CDL, clean MVR, and ability to work with others are required; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• CDL driving experience required.
• Clean MVR with no recent violations; drug screen and medical DOT physical.
• Background check clearance and Clearinghouse consent.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Ability to communicate and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload containers hauling scrap metal.
• Perform DOT daily operation and safety inspections.
• Communicate with office and customers to determine commodities to load.
• Drive semi-truck independently to customers and yards.
• Ensure safe handling and satisfaction of customer needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe yard environment with other staff.
• Refuel, lubricate, and perform basic maintenance tasks.
• Keep work areas neat; attend meetings and be punctual.
