Job summary

Helping Hearts USA LLC in Dickson, TN is seeking compassionate night-shift caregivers to support clients during overnight hours. Shifts range from 4 to 12 hours with both full-time and part-time opportunities, scheduled per client care plans and needs.

Applicants must be 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and demonstrate dependability, compassion and the ability to stay fully awake throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• A high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Professional caregiving, personal-care or home-care experience.
• Must be able to work overnight while fully awake.
• Compassion, patience, professionalism and dependability.
• Follow care plans and office instructions.
• Communicate professionally with clients and staff.
• Complete accurate electronic documentation during every shift.
• Have a reliable smartphone.
• Maintain client confidentiality.
• Follow attendance, clock-in/out and documentation requirements.
• Safely perform the physical responsibilities of the assignment.
• Complete required orientation, training and assignment instructions.
• CPR and First Aid certification are not listed as pre-interview document requirements.

Responsibilities

• Night-shift responsibilities may include assisting with bedtime and morning routines.
• Providing toileting and incontinence care.
• Repositioning clients according to the care plan.
• Performing required safety and wellness checks.
• Monitoring clients who are at risk for falls or wandering.
• Keeping pathways, floors and client areas free from hazards.
• Providing medication reminders according to the care plan.
• Preparing light meals, snacks or beverages.
• Encouraging appropriate hydration.
• Completing assigned laundry and light housekeeping.
• Cleaning and organizing the client’s immediate living area.
• Preparing clothing, supplies or meals for the following day.
• Monitoring for changes in physical, emotional or behavioral condition.
• Completing accurate electronic documentation throughout the shift.
• Providing a clear handoff to the incoming caregiver or approved representative.
