Job summary

Helping Hearts USA LLC is seeking compassionate, dependable night-shift caregivers for full-time and part-time opportunities in Tennessee. Shifts range from 4 to 12 hours, with start times varying per client care plans and may include weekends.

Caregivers must stay awake throughout shifts, complete safety checks, document activities in real time, and coordinate handoffs to the next caregiver. All applicants must meet the outlined employment requirements.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Possess a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Have professional caregiving, personal-care, home-care or related experience.
• Be capable of working overnight while remaining fully awake and attentive.
• Demonstrate compassion, patience, professionalism and dependability.
• Follow written care plans and office instructions.
• Communicate professionally with clients, office staff and approved facility personnel.
• Complete accurate electronic documentation during every shift.
• Have reliable access to a smartphone.
• Maintain client confidentiality.
• Follow all attendance, call-off, clock-in, clock-out and documentation requirements.
• Safely perform the physical responsibilities of the accepted assignment.
• Complete required orientation, training and assignment-specific instruction.

Responsibilities

• Night-shift responsibilities may include: Assisting with bedtime and morning routines.
• Providing toileting and incontinence care.
• Changing protective undergarments and soiled linens.
• Repositioning clients according to the care plan.
• Performing required safety and wellness checks.
• Monitoring clients who are at risk for falls or wandering.
• Keeping pathways, floors and client areas free from hazards.
• Providing medication reminders according to the care plan.
• Preparing light meals, snacks or beverages.
• Encouraging hydration and completing laundry and light housekeeping.
• Monitoring for changes in physical, emotional or behavioral condition.
• Completing accurate electronic documentation throughout the shift.
• Providing a clear handoff to the incoming caregiver or approved representative.
