Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Progressive Care Unit. You will assist with direct patient care, transfers, and transportation of patients, supplies, or specimens under supervision of the RN/LPN.

Three 12-hour night shifts per week, rotating based on unit need. Requires High School Diploma or GED and CNA certification; less than 1 year of experience preferred. Strong communication and empathy are essential for patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required or desired.
• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care per nursing process under supervision.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning and transport of patients and supplies.
• Follow written and oral instructions and hospital policies.
• Demonstrate effective communication and empathy toward patients and staff.
• Maintain PPE and infection prevention practices; perform other duties as needed.
