Job summary

El Paso Behavioral Health System is seeking a Care Center Specialist to support intake operations on the night shift. The role involves handling inquiry calls, coordinating assessments, and preparing intake paperwork with insurance information under supervision of the intake leadership.

Preferred candidates have a hospital intake or business office background, a high school diploma, and current CPR certification. Training on Handle With Care is required within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required. Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Human-related field.
• Experience working in a hospital intake department or business office preferred.
• Must have and maintain current CPR Certification.
• Handle With Care Training within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting with restraining procedures.

Responsibilities

• The Care Center Specialist is responsible for assisting in the process of receiving, scheduling, and/or referring inquiry calls.
• Assist the Care Center Intake Counselors, Coordinators, and Director with coordinating assessments, initiating Intake paperwork and insurance information.
• Work with Admission Clerk to ensure a smooth transition into the admission process.
