Job summary

La Crosse County is seeking a Resident Care Assistant for night shift (10:30 PM–7:00 AM) at Lakeview Health Center & Assisted Living. The role emphasizes in-person, resident-centered care in a home-like setting.

Wage range is $17.06 to $20.89 per hour, with shift differentials, and every other weekend plus holiday rotation. Applicants should be a CNA or eligible per Wisconsin requirements, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living and independence.
• Administer medications following the Five Rights.
• Assist with meals and ensure dietary needs are followed.
• Maintain safe environment and document care in chart.
• Coordinate with supervisor and nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities and personal hygiene.
• Monitor resident safety and report changes to RN.
• Administer medications per facility policy and Five Rights.
• Document care provided and update resident charts.
• Greet and assist residents; respond to care needs promptly.
