Job summary

La Crosse County is seeking a compassionate Resident Assistant to join our Lakeview Health Center & Assisted Living in West Salem, WI. You will support residents in daily living, hygiene, meals, medications, and safety under supervision of the Assisted Living Supervisor.

This full-time PM shift (2:30 PM–11:00 PM) includes weekend rotation, a starting wage of $18.51 per hour with step increases and shift differentials. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

Experience as a Resident Care Assistant in a Residential Care setting is preferred.
Must be 18 years of age and able to pass a background check.
Wisconsin CNA certification not required but preferred if available.

Responsibilities

Assist individuals with personal hygiene, daily living activities, and care of living space.
Assist with medications following Five Rights under supervision.
Assist with meals, food preparation, feeding, and dietary needs.
Provide safety supervision and maintain a clean, hazard-free environment.
Document care provided and report progress to supervisors.
Follow individualized service plans and coordinate with nursing and therapy teams.
Coordinate transportation to appointments and community events as needed.
Respond to resident needs with empathy, integrity, and professionalism.
