Job summary

Milliken & Company in North Carolina seeks an Opening/Carding Technician to keep the opening/carding machinery running safely and efficiently. You will diagnose issues, repair breakdowns, log downtime, and coordinate with the Production Manager and ISO team to uphold quality and environmental standards.

This safety-sensitive role requires climbing, long shifts, and physical stamina with lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Reading and basic comprehension skills are required.
• Ability to recognize color variations is needed.
• Use of air hoses and brooms for cleaning and setup.
• Able to push/pull objects and lift with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Must be capable of climbing and using ladders up to 14’ high.
• Standing and walking 10 to 11 hours per shift.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. and over with help.
• Repair machinery and log downtime; coordinate with maintenance.
• Authorized to shut down machinery to address safety hazards.
