Job summary

Discover Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, invites experienced registered nurses to join the 5 South Cardiac Stepdown unit. This RN night shift requires a minimum of 4 weekend shifts every 6 weeks and offers a high-acuity environment with opportunities to advance into Charge, RSL, or CSL pathways.

You will collaborate with the care team to plan and implement patient care, educate patients and families, and continuously evaluate progress to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program.
• Experience in cardiac care is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care and coordinates care delivery.
• Analyzes patient information to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Evaluates patient progress and applies interventions to achieve outcomes.
• Promotes health and safe environments.
