Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA seeks a Patient Care Technician for the third (nights) shift to deliver patient care, monitor status, and document findings under RN supervision. The role includes phlebotomy, EKG testing, and specimen collection in a high-acuity cardiac unit.

Requirements include a HS diploma or equivalent and certification or recognized clinical program. BLS is required within 90 days of hire; base pay ranges from $18.93 to $27.41 per hour, with additional shift differentials

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Certification or clinical program experience as listed in the ad.
• Basic Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Monitor vital signs and document changes for RN supervision.
• Assist with phlebotomy, specimen collection, and EKG testing.
• Support mobility, ambulation, and catheter management as trained.
