Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Cardiac Procedural and Surgical Unit. This is a Full Time, Day Shift (12-hour shift) position with three 12-hour shifts from 7:00am to 7:00pm and rotating weekends/holidays.

The PCT will provide patient care, assist with daily living activities, monitor vitals, perform phlebotomy, EKG testing, and specimen collection under RN supervision. Requires related certification and BLS.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent and one of the listed programs or credentials.
• Certifications/Licensure: AHA BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Experience: One year of health care experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient care and support activities of daily living.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to RN.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKG testing, specimen collection, and IV removal.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation and Foley catheter management.
