Job summary

Intermountain Health in Colorado is hiring a Night Shift Patient Care Technician (NOC). The role supports the patient care team on a 31-bed Progressive Care Telemetry unit, with responsibilities including basic patient care, telemetry monitoring, and coordinating with RNs and other staff.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred enrollment in nursing school program.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and deliver basic patient care such as toileting, bathing, linen changes, hydration, ambulation, and comfort.
• Document patient care findings and data in a timely manner; report changes promptly.
• May perform telemetry duties and monitor patients as required.
• Transport medications from the delivery system to the RN.
• Collaborate with the RN and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• May assume Health Unit Coordinator duties (phones, orders, unit records, supplies).
• Adhere to plan of care and regulatory standards; maintain safety in emergencies.
