Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the 3 South Cardiac Stepdown unit. This full-time night shift (7 pm–7:30 am) role supports patient-centered care under RN supervision and contributes to a safe, compassionate hospital environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, maintaining hygiene, and following HIPAA/OSHA regulations while ensuring clean, safe care areas for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six (6) month of job-related experience and/or training.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent

Responsibilities

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN in effort to identify/attain treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Provides physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, feeding, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing or exercising.
• Ensures compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment and protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control, hazardous waste and other policies and protocols.
• Performs other related job duties as requested.
