Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Port Huron is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the 4 S Cardiac Step-Down unit. You will support patient care under RN supervision, assist with daily activities, and help maintain a safe, respectful environment during nights.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, six months of related experience, and BLS certification. You will work full-time nights 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM and participate in HIPAA and OSHA-compliant care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of job-related experience and/or training.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN in effort to identify/attain treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Provides physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, feeding, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing or exercising.
• Ensures compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment and protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control, hazardous waste and other policies and protocols.
• Performs other related job duties as requested.
