Job summary

Samtec, Inc. in Wilsonville, Oregon seeks a skilled Repair/Maintenance Technician for the night shift (3x12s). You will repair, maintain, set up and troubleshoot cable manufacturing equipment while supporting operations and engineering teams.

Key duties include preventative maintenance, process changeovers, and maintaining maintenance records. Ideal candidate has 3–5 years in related roles, with strong mechanical and electrical capabilities and English communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates/Technical degree preferred in Electrical or Mechanical fields.
• 3–5 years of maintenance/equipment tech or cable manufacturing experience.
• Strong mechanical skills with use of drilling, tapping, grinding, cutting tools.
• Experience with control relays, pneumatics, PLCs, servo and stepper motors.
• Ability to read/write English and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance for cable manufacturing equipment and tooling.
• Execute the preventive maintenance plan to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Perform process setup and changeover tasks on cable manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot automated machinery electrically and mechanically.
• Generate accurate maintenance records in an electronic system.
• Support KPIs such as equipment uptime and time-to-repair.
