Job summary

Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) is seeking a skilled Building Engineer to support the Arizona State Hospital facilities in Phoenix, AZ. The role focuses on day-to-day maintenance, repair, and the efficient operation of building systems, acting as the primary contact for service calls and coordinating with vendors as needed.

Responsibilities include preventative and corrective maintenance across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, with some weekend and after-hours

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, EMS, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and ladder diagrams.
• Familiar with CMMS and maintenance best practices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, doors, alarms, and elevators.
• Performs preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Coordinate work orders and interact with vendors to ensure on-time completion.
• Maintain records and provide thorough follow-up on requests.
