Job summary

The Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) - General Services Division seeks a skilled Building Engineer to support the Arizona State Hospital facilities. You will manage day-to-day maintenance and operation of all building systems, serve as the primary contact for service calls, and coordinate work orders with contractors to ensure timely completion.

Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and construction codes is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on understanding of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with safety codes and regulations.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and maintains building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and safety equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance and inspections on mechanical systems.
• Coordinates with vendors and assigns work orders, tracking completion.
• Maintains records and prepares reports on maintenance activities.
• Supports 24x7 operations including after-hours work as needed.
