Job summary

MasTec Civil is seeking a Project Superintendent for a night-shift role on a highway/bridge project in Lakeland, FL. The candidate will supervise field construction, manage crews, review plans, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence on bridge and related highway work.

You will coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and management, guiding multi-discipline teams to meet project goals while maintaining thorough documentation and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 5+ years in heavy construction with bridge/road/DOT experience.
• FDOT knowledge/experience preferred.
• PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all aspects of bridge construction, repair, and maintenance from start to finish.
• Oversee daily field operations, manpower, equipment, and material deployment.
• Review and interpret bridge designs and blueprints to ensure specs.
• Ensure safety regulations and industry standards are met.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, inspectors, and PMs for on-time completion.
• Monitor progress against schedules and budgets; address delays.
• Lead field staff including workers, foremen, and subcontractors.
• Maintain detailed project records and daily reports.
